Adventure Ready Pathway
Discover all that you can be, by setting yourself an adventure challenge!
Here are some thoughts that you might be familiar with:
- want to do it before it's too late?
- did it so long ago that you want to see if you could still make it?
- don’t know if you can do it?
- crave a chance to "be yourself" and see what you are capable of?
- have never "roughed" it?
- know you could and just need some support?
I know deep inside you there is a Woman with Spirit just needing a little guidance
Let’s work together to address your concerns and build the resources you need so you feel safe, capable, and eager, to embark on this truly amazing experience.
The Overland Track is wild, majestic and spectacular. Allow me to share one of my favourite places as we walk together as explorers of our world.
The Women with Spirit – Adventure Ready Pathway includes a holistic approach to preparing you for adventure in the outdoors.
You will be preparing yourself mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually.
What sort of preparation would help you?
Walking in the outdoors can take some people right outside of their comfort zone.
Even if you love the outdoors, being out in Nature for 7 days, walking an average of 12 km a day carrying a backpack with everything you need is something that doesn’t happen every day for most.
Weather can be unpredictable and spectacular at the same time.
Being mentally prepared helps you to settle into “what is” in each moment and allows you to release expectations, be more resilient, more flowing, and develops a can do attitude when it gets tough climbing up the mountains and down dales.
Your level of preparation physically has a big impact on the level of enjoyment.
Walking with a backpack requires different muscles to most other exercise so doing things that build the muscles around your knees, legs and ankles is important to avoid injury.
In addition, physical preparation includes learning how to plan and cook meals outdoors on different fuel stoves, selecting appropriate equipment and all of the “physical” aspects of walking.
The overall adventure experience is amazing and there can be times when you are tested as you move outside of your comfort zone.
This is normal for anyone breaking free of what is known to safely step into the unknown and back again.
Often the things holding us back can be internally and emotionally driven through old patterns and ideas about who we are that keep us limited.
Being emotionally prepared means letting go of the core of your fears and old beliefs so you can ride the ebb and flow of long distance walking with more ease and grace.
This is the secret ingredient to walking with country.
The more you can surrender into connecting with the essence of nature the closer you will get to the essence of yourself.
The more you can open yourself to this way of being, the more spiritual connection you will experience on the walk itself.

The biggest benefit was the experience of completing and accomplishing something I started. It was quite overwhelming. I was so relieved and proud of myself that I shed a few tears.
Cheryl Tillman
I went on the Overland Track trip to challenge myself. I was concerned about having the stamina to complete the trek. Jenny’s encouragement & support was brilliant. I will always remember the shared memories and strengthening of old and new friendships.
Trish King
I wanted to do something for ME after years of bringing up kids and putting my life on the back-burner.
I realised that in the lead up Jenny had been moving us towards our goal, making sure we were prepared mentally, physically
The greatest benefit of doing the walk is I now have more self confidence.
Colleen Taylor
At the time I was 47 years of age and I had never thought that I could do it and felt that I was too old.
Once on the trek it was amazing.I was doing this!! It was an OMG feeling!!
June Uhrig
At 66, the whole preparation, both mentally and physically was a challenge for this trip. The benefits were life changing. I CAN DO THIS! It was a great boost and we had the best time.
My sense of achievement at the end of the trip was through the roof!!
Jane Fischer
There is a very real sense of achievement at the end of such walks. I found Jenny to be an admirable leader who ensured that the group stayed together yet allowed time for exploration and discovery along the way.
Sharyn Ryan-Hancock
The biggest benefit of going on the Overland trip was the reminder that no matter who we are or where we come from, if you really want to achieve something and overcome challenging situations, you can do it.
Sonya Fisher
Doing the Overland Trek had been a "bucket list" adventure.
I was worried whether I fit enough at 50 to complete the challenge and how to even get started with all the preparation needed both physically and equipment.
We were well prepared thanks to Jen and she was always encouraging, skilful and helpful.
